Bio
I was born a "Navy Brat" and lived on many naval bases on the East coast until I turned 16 when my father retired and settled us in Madisonville, Kentucky. I met my future husband in an 11th-grade chorus class. We dated 5 years and married in 1983. Kenny was sent from God above and absolutely changed my life! We were then blessed with a daughter, Sarah, and a son, Allen. I worked as a legal secretary and court reporter until 1995 when we moved to Tennessee.
I completed the 2+2 Teaching Program through Motlow and TTU and received my Bachelor of Science in Teaching in 2011. Both of our children graduated from CCCHS. Sarah then attended University of Alabama, Huntsville, and Allen attended Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville. Sarah lives in Brooklyn, New York, and is a "starving artist"; and Allen lives right here in Manchester. He taught Spanish at the high school for several years and is currently teaching at Community High School in Shelbyville.
In my leisure time, I love to read, sew, quilt, crochet, and knit. I do not own a smart phone, and I DO NOT TEXT. I don't enjoy watching television, but Kenny does, so I am quite content sitting on the couch with him watching golf, football, or dvd movies.
My life's purpose and goal is: "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as to the Lord and not for people." Colossians 3:23
